Terms of service
Read this before you publish: this is a working draft written to be replaced. Have a lawyer in your operating jurisdiction review it, and fill in every bracket, before you take real money. It is not legal advice.
1. Who we are
Sermon7 ("we", "us") is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], registered in [COUNTRY], contactable at hello@sermon7.com. By creating an account or paying for a plan you agree to these terms.
2. What the service does
You upload a recording of a sermon you have already delivered, or a link to one. We transcribe it and generate written material from it — a transcript, a discussion guide, devotional readings, an email draft, social posts, clip scripts and related items. Everything we return is a draft for you to review, edit and decide whether to publish.
We do not write original sermons and we do not publish anything on your behalf.
3. Your content and your rights
You keep all rights in the recordings you upload and in the material generated from them. You grant us a limited licence to store and process your recordings for the sole purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your recordings or generated content to train machine learning models, ours or a third party's, and we do not sell or share them for anyone else's marketing.
You confirm that you have the right to upload each recording — that you either delivered the sermon, or have permission from the person who did and from anyone else identifiable in the audio.
4. Acceptable use
Do not upload recordings you have no right to use, material that is unlawful where you are, or content that incites violence or hatred against any group. Do not resell the service or attempt to extract our prompts, models or code. We may suspend an account that does these things, with a refund of any unused prepaid time.
5. Plans, payment and refunds
Plans are prepaid monthly or yearly through our payment provider, Creem, who acts as merchant of record and is responsible for applicable sales tax and VAT. Each plan includes a stated number of sermons per billing period; unused sermons roll over for one period and then expire.
You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Within 30 days of your first payment we refund in full on request, no reason needed. Contact hello@sermon7.com.
6. Availability
We aim for the service to be available continuously but do not promise it. Processing times are estimates. If a sermon fails to process we will re-run it or return the credit.
7. Accuracy
Automatic transcription and generated writing contain mistakes — misheard words, wrong attributions, misread emphasis. Everything must be reviewed by a person before it is published, taught from or sent to a congregation. You are responsible for what you publish.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
9. Changes and ending
We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. You may close your account at any time from the billing page, which deletes your recordings and content within 30 days.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes will be heard in the courts of [JURISDICTION].
